Here is the completed job with the shingle levelled on the surface
After the old driveway was removed we installed a new hard core sub base then used a whacker plate to make it a solid structure ready for the stone.
This is the start of the job, we used a concrete breaker to break up the existing driveway
On this job we had to pick up and re-lay the existing blocks because it had sunken in places.
First we jet washed the whole area to get all the unwanted dirt and grime of the blocks, we then picked up all the blocks and put them to one side, we removed all the old sand and installed new sand and level out. Then we laid the blocks swept in the new kiln dried sand and used the whacker plate to get it tight, then the finished product looks like a new driveway again.
This is the job complete, after we screeded the sand out we laid the new block paving, we then swept in the kiln dried sand to fill in all the gaps between the blocks, then used a whacker plater to get it nice and tight. We also installed a new picket fence along each side.
This is how the job looked before we started, we had to remove the excisting tarmac and hardcore then install the new sub base.
